ENDOZENE
The Challenge:
Endometriosis - an inflammatory and fibrotic condition where the tissue that lines the inside uterine cavity is found outside of the uterus. Endometriosis can cause severe chronic pain, infertility, and organ failure, and affects more than 1 in 10 people with uteruses; additionally, it is challenging to diagnose.
We propose a novel method of diagnosing endometriosis that is inexpensive, accessible, and noninvasive.

Our Goal:
A lateral flow assay device that will help patients and clinicians know (1) whether the patient has endometriosis and (2) best clinical next steps based on biomarker detection in menstrual blood.
