Insulin Anywhere
Project description

Type 1 diabetes is a disease that affects millions of people worldwide, and many of them do not have the resources they need to maintain proper health, especially after a major natural disaster. Diabetics need access to a combination of supplies including insulin, insulin pens, replaceable needles, and a way to keep insulin cold. Especially following natural disasters, it can be impossible for diabetics to obtain all of these supplies, so we aim to build a single device that provides everything needed to dispense insulin for 7 days. This includes the storage of sterile needles, skin sanitization, and refrigeration of insulin. We will soon begin designing proof of concept prototypes of each independent system.
