The Challenge
People with female anatomy who struggle to find access to healthcare need a cheap, convenient, discreet test that flags potential infections.

Vaginal health conditions can be difficult to identify early because symptoms may be subtle, overlap between different conditions, or go unnoticed. Access to testing may also require time, cost, and a clinical visit.

There is an opportunity to create a more accessible and user-friendly way for individuals to monitor changes in their vaginal health and recognize when further testing or medical care may be appropriate.

Our Goal
Develop an accessible, non-invasive tool for vaginal health monitoring. The envisioned product would allow users to monitor biological changes through an easy-to-use format and provide clear, understandable results. Ultimately, we hope to create a tool that supports earlier awareness of potential vaginal health concerns while being comfortable, discreet, and simple to incorporate into everyday life.
What We've Accomplished
  • Researched existing methods for detecting and monitoring vaginal health conditions
  • Explored biological indicators that may be associated with changes in vaginal health
  • Investigated potential sensing and detection approaches ( ph/biomarrkers)
  • Evaluated materials and device formats for comfort, safety, and usability
Next Steps
  • Identify biological indicators that could provide meaningful information about vaginal health
  • Compare potential sensing and detection methods for feasibility, safety, and accuracy
  • Explore materials and device designs that are comfortable and practical for users
